AUDIOROTIC are "2009 Classic Rock Showdown Champions" and "SFR's Official House Band of 2010."

The Band
Audiorotic is the culmination of five very experienced musicians coming together at the right time to offer something different in rock music for Kentuckiana music-goers. That is, classic/arena, danceable rock music. The guys know what they would like to see on stage and hear musically and they are determined to give their audience 100% of the rock show that they would want to see and hear. They are dedicated to bringing the long, lost arena rock show back to the stage. Audiorotic understands that it was the original songs by the original artists that made the songs popular. So, when you come to see an Audiorotic show you will hear the music played very close to the way the original artists wrote it. Whether it's a Boston song with intricate keyboard arrangements, a Queen song with intertwining four-part vocal harmonies, or a Journey song with Steve Perry wailing the high notes – you will hear it at an Audiorotic show!

J.D. Russell – Lead vocals
JD Russell has been singing since he was 5 years old. At age 18, he began singing professionally. He has a uniquely high vocal range in the realm of famous rock singers such as: Steve Perry (Journey), Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Freddie Mercury (Queen), and Brad Delp (Boston). He has sung for a number of successful acts including: Charisma, Night Heat, Rock Station, and False Alarm. JD and Tom Dawson met in a previous band and both decided they wanted something bigger and better – hence Audiorotic. His biggest influences are: Journey, Boston, Styx, Foreigner, and Van Halen.

Tom Dawson – Bass/vocals
Tom Dawson started playing music on the piano at age 5. He switched to guitar at age 9 after he heard some Kiss songs. He has always had a knack for playing bass and his biggest musical influences were always bass players. After playing guitar for many years, he decided to pick up the bass and never looked back. Some of his former bands were: Riff Raff, Tora Terrain, Rabid Lych, Beholder, Creeper, Kiss Army, and Hotter Than Hell. Beholder was an original band that recorded 3 albums in the same studios as Fleetwood Mac, SRV, Bon Jovi, ZZ-Top, and many others. Kiss Army and Hotter Than Hell were both Kiss tribute bands and Tom portrayed Paul Stanley in those bands. Tom toured extensively across the nation while he was in the Kiss tribute bands, playing in auditoriums for large audiences and fronting some well-known national acts. His musical influences are: Kiss, Rush, Journey, Foreigner, Boston, AC/DC, and other classic/arena rock bands. His bass influences are: Nikki Sixx, Geddy Lee, Chris Squier, Paul McCartney, and Gene Simmons.

“The music that Audiorotic is playing is what I have wanted to do for years now, but just couldn't find the people to do it with. Now, we have found each other. Audiorotic was fate - playing with wonderful musicians like this is awesome!” ~ Tom Dawson

Jack Linzay - Drums
Jack Linzay’s drumming career can be traced back to his high school days (Yes, he was a band geek!), and he spent his twenties playing in rock & roll bands such as Tantrum, Marshall Law, and Scarecrow. Think of every “struggling band” cliché you can imagine. Anything cringe-worthy was probably a hallmark of Jack’s early days as a club drummer. Everything was going great, but then at the end of the eighties something happened…THE NINETIES!! Having been a purveyor of heavy rock, arena rock, metal, and basically anything that didn’t suck, Jack just couldn’t deal with playing nineties music. So, in 1993, he walked away and didn’t play again for seven years. In 2000, he blew the dust off his drum kit and returned to the stage, where he has been ever since. He’s had an awesome time (usually) performing during the last decade with bands such as Point 0-8, Morningstar, and Redline. He joined Land Shark in the spring of 2005, and later he joined XS. Jack was in both bands with guitar shredder Paul Smith, and now Audiorotic completes their trifecta. Some of his favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, KISS, The Rolling Stones, Rush, Guns ‘N Roses, and The Who, among countless others. Drummers he’s been (and continues to be) inspired by are John Bonham, Tommy Lee, Matt Sorum, Neil Peart, Ginger Baker, Tommy Aldridge, and the guy who got Jack into drumming in the first place - Keith Moon.

“As a lifelong fan of classic/arena rock (and technically challenging music), Audiorotic is THE band for me. Playing with the stellar talent that makes up Audiorotic is any musician’s dream. I look forward to this new road on my musical pilgrimage.” ~ Jack Linzay

Rob Scheu – Keyboards/vocals
Rob Scheu was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He has played in a several bands in and around the city including: Imagine Nation and XS. Imagine Nation was a progressive rock band that played songs from bands such as: Wings, ELO, Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd, and Prince. During Rob’s stint with XS, the band fronted a number of well-known national acts such as: Ted Nugent, Skid Row, Great White, Pat Travers, Bullet Boys, and Dizzy Reed (formerly of Guns and Roses). Many Louisvillians may know Rob from his long tenure at Mom’s Music, heading up their keyboard and recording division.

“The music we’re playing represents a time where music was much more of an art form; it was more about the creative musical talent of the band with less influence from the record labels. This type of music allows my keyboards to be a more integral part of every song. This band is great! I love this stuff!!! ~ Rob Scheu

George Paul Smith – Guitar/vocals
George Paul Smith has been on many stages from large festivals to small clubs, and feels he has been VERY fortunate to have that opportunity. He has played shows with various national artists including Ted Nugent, Warrant, Skid Row, Great White, Bullet Boys, Dizzy Reed, Stuck Mojo, American Dog, The Gore Gore Girls, and Pat Travers, to name a few. He has also done some recent session work in Nashville and written some tunes for TV. He is quite proud of his awesome guitar students at The Guitar Emporium in Louisville, KY. (GPS is using.... Splawn Amplification & In-Tune Guitar Picks!)

“I play guitar because it lets me dream out loud....... very loud. I really respect the concept of Audiorotic. Playing this music is a blast! It is challenging, and it is L-O-U-D!!!!!” ~ George Paul Smith
