1. WHO MAY PARTICIPATE. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the CLASSIC ROCK SHOWDOWN (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of Kentucky and Indiana who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, are legal U.S. residents, and who possess a valid government-issued photo identification. Employees of COX Radio Louisville/WSFR, Cox Radio, Inc., any other Louisville/Southern Indiana media (TV, Newspaper, Billboard, etc), Kingfish Restaurants, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary, or affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Limit one (1) winner per household. For purposes of this Contest, a “household” includes all persons who are domiciled with an entrant, regardless of familial relation. No band may participate that is under contract/signed by a national record label during the contest dates. This contest is intended for unsigned bands only. No exceptions may be made. The Contest period is outlined in Section 2 of these Official Rules. Bands are defined as a group. Band line up must remain the same throughout the competition. Substitution of band members is not allowed for any reason. Bands must be fully together according to entry at performance time.

2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE. Contest will begin Sept. 7th, 2009 and end on October 23rd, 2009.

a) Prospective participants must submit a single tracked demo to the Cox Radio, Inc. Louisville office or email it to tony.cambron@coxradio.com to be considered for competition. All entries must include: Contact Name, Contact Email Address, Band Name, Genre of Music description, Contact Cell Phone Number, City of Residence, Name of Song(s) for Consideration in Contest, Contact Address, Band Members Ages, Alternative Contact Name & Phone Number. Any entry without these completed information will not be considered for competition. Demos must be of Classic Rock Genre Cover Material. Entry materials become the property of Cox Radio, Inc. and cannot be returned.

b) 107-7 SFR will select up to nine registered bands for one of 3 (three) weekly qualifying contests at a location to be determined. Any band selected, but unable to perform when scheduled may be disqualified. 107-7 SFR reserves the right to reschedule bands unable to perform, to an alternative date. Up to three bands at each sponsored qualifying night location will be expected to perform a 3 song set of their chosen music (subject to change). Please note that the music performed has to be covered classic rock song on the play list which must be approved by 107-7 SFR no less than 24 hours before the band is scheduled to perform. A 20 (twenty) set-up/tear down time will be allowed for each band (Subject to change).

c) Each week’s qualifying winner will be determined by crowd vote via a voting box (one vote per listener). Judges decisions are final each week. The contest finale competition judges will be made up of a panel of three judges with no affiliation to the bands or Cox Radio, Inc.

3. PRIZES AND ODDS. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Odds will be determined according to the number of entries. The grand prize winning band will receive the opportunity to perform for at least one future 1077 SFR event within one year of the finale (Band will be awarded enough gigs to equal at least $1000) and the title of SFR’s official house band for one year with a link and bio on the www.1077sfr.com (Nov. 2009-Nov. 2010) website and 4 hours studio time from Mom’s Music.

4. CONTACTING BANDS TO PERFORM. 107-7 SFR will notify each participating Band by telephone and/or email when their performance time/date is selected. If a message is left and the band contact name does not reply within the close of business, another band will be chosen. All contact information must be correct and current. Any entries not correct and current will be disqualified.

5. PRIZE CLAIM AND ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES. Prizes will be awarded at the finale on Friday, October 23rd, 2009, at a sponsored location. Prize will be awarded by judges secured by radio station but not currently directly affiliated with radio station. Radio station personnel do reserve the right to consult with judges in final decision in an effort to help contest maintain focus of finding band that best fits 107.7 SFR House Band image and quality. To claim prize, each Prize Winner must present a valid government-issued photo identification. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winners. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Station reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within ten (10) days of date of personal delivery or date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within ten (10) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner.

6. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes each entrant’s consent to the use of his or her name, biographical information, voice and/or likeness in any media, including without limitation the Internet, for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. Any telephone calls placed to the WSFR Contest line may be recorded for use on-air at any time. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Station. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Station and the Contest administrators and judges. Station reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Station. In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Station which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Station reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.

7. DISCLAIMERS. By entering, participants acknowledge and agree that Station, Cox Radio, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Contest Entities”) will not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession/use and/or misuse of prize(s), travel to and from any prize-related activity, participation in the Contest, printing, mailing or distribution errors, or any malfunctions of the telephone network, computer Internet system, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof, or for any entries that are not in compliance with these Official Rules.

8. CONSTRUCTION. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

9. SPONSOR. The Contest is sponsored by WSFR. The decisions of Station and the Contest administrators and judges regarding the selection of winners, the interpretation of these Official Rules and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Station will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest. Copies of these Official Rules and potential list of winners (name only) are available at WSFR Studios, 612 S. Fourth St. Louisville, Ky 40219, from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and also are available online at www.1077sfr.com.
